Alpheus Media is a documentary film production company located in Austin, Texas. Alpheus specializes in motion picture, documentary, and broadcast storytelling that inspires. Employing high-end production values to tell human stories, our work has garnered awards in both the world of film and commercial advertising. An end-to-end production company, we handle every step of the production process including idea origination, writing, directing, producing, cinematography, production, editing, sound design, motion graphics and duplication. Recent work includes:

–  Last Best Hope: a nationally broadcast feature documentary about the Belgian Resistance during World War II. Last Best Hope earned wide acclaim, garnering numerous awards at film festivals around the world before airing nationwide during a primetime slot on PBS.

– State of Tomorrow, a 13-episode, half-hour PBS documentary series exploring some of the most forward-thinking work being done in academic environments. State of Tomorrow aired across all PBS stations in Texas.

Fighting Goliath: Texas Coal Wars: co-produced with Robert Redford’s Sundance Preserve, the film explores the role of Texas mayors in the state’s recent battle over 19 new coal plants proposed by TXU and other energy companies in Texas. Currently airing on PBS and the Sundance Channel.

– Multiple projects with the Lance Armstrong Foundation including the  LIVESTRONG UNITE Video Series, and the  LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign which chronicle each major step the Foundation is taking to make cancer a global priority.
